Dave and I were finishing up our second year working with a fertility clinic in our area when we heard about Dr. Batzofin and his team at New York Fertility Services. The couple we talked with spoke so highly of NYFS but we were terrified to leave the clinic we had been working with – after all, they knew every test that we’d ever had – we’d have to start at the beginning if we moved to a new clinic. So we continued working with that clinic for 8 more months before we decided that we had nothing to lose – now in our mid-40’s, we felt we were running out of time. We contacted Dr. Batzofin’s office and six months after walking through NYFS’s front door, we were pregnant. Dr. Batzofin treated our case with a specific approach geared towards our fertility needs, not a generic broad spectrum approach that our previous clinic had taken. And his embryologist treated every single embryo under his care with caution and passion – we heard directly from John about our embryo’s development – not from a station nurse who was typically not familiar with all of our loss. And the office team did everything within their power to help make the process as special as possible for us – the hardest part of working with NYFS for us was letting them go as we moved our care to an OB/GYN near our home. We still cannot believe it has happened for us and are thankful every single day for Dr. Batzofin and the folks at New York Fertility Services.

I appreciate your personal note. As you know, fertility makes even the least superstitious person think again, but I really thought things would've turned out a lot differently, too. I am certainly eager to try for Maria(and James) again. For sure. And, Maria has expressed the desire to try again as well. Maria is so warm and optimistic that it is impossible not to like her....I am thrilled that she asked me to help her- she is such a sweetie! The outcome was very disappointing and hit Corin hard. Being typical Chinese, her emotions are private but run deep on the inside. So as we recover ourselves from it all over the next few months most likely we'll try again using a donor egg. Hey there, Dr. Batzofin and fabulous team!! I am doing GREAT!  Just had our second level ultrasound - baby is perfect!  Very active, healthy looking brain and all four chambers of the heart - couldn't ask for anything more!  I have not felt him/her yet but the doctor yesterday said it is only a matter of days!  I think about you all every time I realize how lucky we are for this experience!!  I'll keep you posted on our progress!  Thanks for everything! Hi Dr. Batzofin,  I hope that this finds you well!  Things are going well on this end and, again, I can't believe how fast time is flying by.  It's more difficult than I thought to put into words the joy that you've given us.  But because I want everyone to know how wonderful you are, here it goes: From the moment that I called Dr. Batzofin's office, I was met with a friendly voice who wanted to help.  Immediately, I was given an appointment and emailed information.  Upon entering the waiting room at New York Fertility Services, that same welcoming attitude was present.  Being greeted by your first name as you walk in the door and just the personal feeling of the staff made me feel as though I was their only patient and no one else mattered.  It was a stressful time, but never once did I worry about the care that I was receiving from the moment that I met Dr. Batzofin.  Dr. Batzofin spent as much time as my husband and I needed to have our questions answered and our concerns addressed-not only during our initial meeting, but throughout our time there.  He was more than willing to sit with us or answer any questions via email.  Once my diagnosis of PCOS was confirmed, we tried a round of IUI during which I overstimulated.  As uncomfortable and discouraging as this was, neither he nor my husband and I gave up hope.  A few months later we started the IVM process and luckily we became pregnant.  Being able to see and hear the heartbeat of our baby was, at the time, the most magical moment and one that we will never forget.  Our son, Benjamin has given us so much joy and is honestly the greatest blessing in our life.  His smile lights up his face and the room and fills our hearts with more love than we ever knew existed.  We will never be able to say enough wonderful things about our experience with Dr. Batzofin and his New York Fertility Services staff nor will we be able to thank them enough.  Thank you with all our heart!   Ariana

Dr. Batzofin,  Thank you for getting back to me and for sending the information. I will get back to you about our final decision but I feel my husband and I are leaning toward the one cycle of own egg to one cycle of donor egg. Even if small chance is there, I would like to try. Better to try than to wonder later on "what if". Even if in reality all indications and logic point one toward donor egg, still if there is a chance I will feel good that I tried all options. My heart is wide open to donor egg. To me, egg of donor plays big role for my dreams and small role once baby is implanted and becomes fetus. Once umbilical chord is formed and I am feeding and nourishing that child, it is mine and we are one. All thoughts one has about it not being "my egg" vanish. I am so grateful to have that option.
